The Cause for Canonization for Adele Brice
Servant of God Adele Brice
Important Update
Since Servant of God Adele Brice began her path to sainthood this past January, it has been an extraordinary and grace-filled time for The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion.
Important work for The Cause has begun, the inquiry’s officials have taken their oaths, and are now hard at work uncovering Adele Brice’s life. They are learning so much about her spiritual fruits and gaining a better understanding of her holiness.
Recently, this quote from a translated letter book of Adele’s, transcribed by one of her companions, was rediscovered:
“We must submit ourselves to the Holy Will of the Good God.”
They say that one of the most important parts of the first year of a Cause is prayer and growing the devotion of the faithful while maintaining momentum.
This year, on July 5th, we will celebrate the anniversary of Adele’s death, and we are hoping for thousands to gather together at Our Lady’s Shrine for the 11:30 A.M. Mass to pray for her Cause.
Following Mass, there will be prayers for The Cause, a blessing at her gravesite, and an opportunity for all to come together in celebration of The Cause of Servant of God Adele Brice. We hope you will join us!

The Cause for Canonization of Adele Brice

The evening of January 30 was truly a moving experience for those who attended the opening of Adele’s Cause. For those unable to attend, we produced a short video that captures the essence of the solemn event.
The work of promoting a Cause for canonization entails many responsibilities and significant expenses, including developing devotional materials, conducting historical and theological research, organizing events, traveling for witness interviews, and sharing Adele’s story with others.
Since January, more than 50,000 Adele Brice prayer cards have been distributed. Above all, prayer remains the most important way to support her Cause. We ask you to continue praying, sharing Adele’s story, and helping others come to know the message Our Lady entrusted to her.
The opening of a Canonization Cause is a rare moment in the United States and unprecedented in the Diocese of Green Bay. By sharing this story with friends, parishes, and on social media, you help spread the witness of a young Belgian immigrant whose simple faithfulness and prompt obedience to Our Lady’s message continue to inspire countless lives.
Please continue to pray for and let others know about the Cause for Adele. If you feel called to support this effort financially, we humbly invite you to consider helping us continue promoting the Cause of Adele Brice as we journey together on this path toward sainthood. All donations made here will be used exclusively for activities related to the Adele Brice Cause for Canonization.
Our Lady of Champion, pray for us.
